Click to ZoomResearch in Motion made a Bold statement yesterday when they revealed the highly anticipated BlackBerry 9000 as the BlackBerry Bold. Sorry, that was a really cheesy pun and I'm sure that I'm not the only one that is going to use it over the lifetime of this QWERTY-packing business handheld.

RIM says that the naming of the smartphone comes from the BlackBerry Bold's gorgeous display, as well as some "new moves for the company." In terms of features, you get a HVGA (480x320) display, 624MHz Intel PXA270 processor, quad-band GSM, HSDPA/UMTS, 2 megapixel camera with video, multimedia player, 3.5mm headset jack, QWERTY keyboard, 128 flash memory, and a microSD/SDHC expansion slot for support up to 16GB of extra storage. For some extra pizazz, you can swap out the backplate for blue, gray, or red covers.

The BlackBerry Bold is currently undergoing carrier certification, so it's not officially available just yet. If you're really itching to get one, however, I hear that unlocked versions are floating around on eBay.
