The Most Expensive Asus Eee PC to Date: S101 |

  I thought that the whole point of the Eee PC line of netbooks from Asus was supposed to provide people with an affordable supplementary computer that they could take with them on the road. The Eee PC is supposed to be small and cheap, but it appears that Asus is ready to expand the brand into a whole new arena.
We heard a short while back that Asus would be taking the Eee brand into other areas, producing Eee desktops, Eee Sticks, Eee TVs, and all sorts of other Eee products. The same can be said about the Eee PC subnotebook, because Asus is working on the most expensive one to date. The brown laptop pictured here is the Asus Eee PC S101, a premium model model equipped with a 64GB solid state drive.
Other features include a 10.1-inch LED backlit LCD, Intel Atom processor, and a thickness of about 0.87-inches. The 64GB model will be priced around $899 when it launches in October. There is also a 32GB Asus Eee PC S101 and that one will cost $699.
