Click to ZoomSome of us like to kick it old school, so we're perfectly satisfied with a working NES emulator for the Apple iPhone. Through that handy piece of software, we're about to enjoy classic titles like Excitebike and Gunsmoke. But there are people that want double the bits and they just won't be grinning until they get their hands on some virtual SNES action. And now they can.

The project is still in a beta testing phase, but SNES4iPhone (you can't get a more descriptive name than that) is an SNES emulator that has been designed for the Apple iPhone. The kinks are still being ironed out, so it might be a little while before you start playing Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat, and Super Mario Kart on your iPhone.

Believe me, it'll be worth the wait. In the meantime, drool over this demo video.
